Living Books Curriculum
A Charlotte Mason education for the 21st century
For Kindergarten through Grade 5 (6-8 forthcoming) • Available from Living Books Curriculum • 5497 S. Gilmore Road, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858 • www.livingbookscurriculum.com
Living Books Curriculum is the only complete curriculum inspired by the work of British educational reformer, Charlotte Mason. The curriculum focuses on the use of high-quality literature, real-life experiences and oral language skills. Charlotte Mason believed these three modes of learning should be the primary sources for education.
The program currently provides books and materials for grade levels Foundation Year (kindergarten) through Grade Five, with future levels through Grade Eight being developed. Each grade level is a separate program in itself and is designed as a four term, 36-week academic year with the first eight weeks of each term used for instruction and the ninth week being used for completion of prior work and student assessment.
