The Macabi Skirt is Fashionably Modest yet Adventure Friendly

Review By Linda Pliagas

Summer is right around the corner and the Macabi Skirt® is the perfect article of clothing to usher in the warm season.  With its modest appeal and versatility, the Macabi Skirt is both fashionable and functional.

The Macabi Skirt is a must-have for every adventurer’s closet.  Carol Louder, creator and owner, chose to work with Supplex®, the high-tech nylon that looks, feels and breathes like soft cotton.  Supplex® is windproof and breathable, cottony soft, yet strong. It’s water-resistant and quick drying, stain and fade resistant, lightweight and packable,

Notable features of the Macabi Skirt:

•Unique snaps and clips adapt skirt to climate
  and activity.

•Supplex® fabric resists wrinkles and dries quickly.

•2 oversized pockets and 1 zippered
security pocket carry valuables and must-haves.

So how did the Macabi Skirt come about?

The skirt’s design was inspired by a trip to Mexico. Louder was scheduled to go on a bone fishing trip to the Yucatan.  She wanted clothing that would be suitable for the climate (it would have to handle both heat and sun) and respectful of the local culture. Louder also wanted apparel that she could wear in different situations, to both casual and more formal events.

Since no such skirt existed, Louder decided to bring her idea to life. Her creation was named the Macabi Skirt, after the Mayan name for bonefish.

Retail price for the skirt is $75 (although some skirts are now available for only $57.50, please see for details).

The Macabi Skirt is available in three different lengths, six sizes and  five colors.

Women from all over the nation are praising the Macabi Skirt as the perfect travel companion.

Jessica Dykes, one happy customer, says, “The skirt toured through Egypt with me as it rapidly became the only thing I wore…the skirt went from mosques to 5-star dinner entertainment with ease, dressing up and dressing down in a flash.”

Macabi wearers send rave reviews to Louder from their worldwide adventures to Peru, Nepal, and Italy.
