The American Academy, based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, boasts a 20-year track record in delivering Academy enrollment, curriculum materials, homeschool training and administration services to homeschooling families. Even though the American Academy is Christian-based, it boasts a tremendously diversified background of the families who utilize its services. No statement of faith is required; however, each family can be assured that the curriculum is Christian-based.
The Academy’s goals are summed up as follows:

The staff of the American Academy is here to aid and serve you as you prepare your children for life.”
Marvin Reynolds, the Academy’s founder and president, also serves as its administrator. He possesses an extensive background in school administration and teaching in both Public and Christian School sectors. Mr. Reynolds holds a Masters of Education with a major in Secondary School Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma and postgraduate work from the University of Oklahoma. He also holds Oklahoma
Certification for a Secondary School Principal. He has served in the Public School system as a teacher, counselor and administrator for seven years and as the Headmaster of a Christian School for 14 years. Working with Home Schooling for 23 years, Mr. Reynolds possesses over 40 years’ experience as an educator. The Academy’s educational staff possess training certification and represent over 100 years of total educational experience.
The American Academy supplies the family with the complete grade’s curriculum for each school year, along with a parent-training manual for instruction in homeschooling. The core curriculum used is the School of Tomorrow or ACE curriculum, which is recognized as one of the best Christian-based courses of study available anywhere. The Academy also provides supplemental materials.
The Academy then provides support to the parents by e-mail or phone. The student does the schoolwork, takes the tests, the parents grade the tests and send the graded tests to the Academy, who then audits and records the test results. The Academy sends progress reports to the family and also provides diplomas upon graduation and transcripts for transfers or for the student’s college applications process. The American Academy is a homeschool system with service departments in: Enrollment and Front Office, Records, Warehouse and Shipping, Finance, Processing and Administration.
The American Academy is accredited by the National Association of Private Schools. High School Graduation requires subject completion based on the Graduation Requirements of the State of Oklahoma. More information can be found on the website.
